Great Nebula in Orion
10 January 2021

This is this year's retake of the great nebula in Orion. This time I (or the ASIair) screwed up. Originally I wanted to take as many 2min exposures at ISO 200 as possible but after refocussing my lens after the first shots something, I don't know what, went wrong and I ended up with the most pictures taken at ISO 1600.
Naturally, the core was totally saturated and to salvage the image I tried something I meant to try for a long time: an HDR-merge of two different exposures. The image above is the result.
